As more and more cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to be reported, so have people began to negatively react to Asian people in general. Lil Reese took to Twitter in order to make reactionary comments about Chinese people as a whole in the context of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Note: “asl” means “as hell” in social media lingo.
There’s no justifying Lil Reece’s stupid comments. However, in America, racism starts at the top. Notice a recent tweet from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R) who has a history of making sensationalized statements in order to pander to the unintelligent elements of his electoral base.

Let’s be honest, the Corona virus doesn’t compare to what the George Bush Jr. administration killed in Iraq based on what’s now proven to be faulty evidence for starting that war. According to the Watson Institute For International & Public Affairs at Brown University between 182,272- 204,575 Iraqi civilians have been killed in war between 2003-2018. America is best leading by example instead of having it’s leaders engage in reactionary, sensationalized politics.
As far as Lil Reese goes he’s kind of confusing. In December 2019, he dropped the rap video ‘Come Outside’ which showcases plenty of guns and talks about homicides. The video follows the Chicago rapper being shot the month prior. Perhaps he should focus on these issues instead of generalizing all Chinese people (a civilization which dates back over 5,000 years). Otherwise, we’ll have to start considering Reece the latest CB4 rapper.
