Judge Rules Suge Knight Must Pay $107M Judgement to Former Employee

A judge has ruled that Suge Knight (legal name: Marion Knight) must pay Lydia Harris the $107 million she was awarded by a court of law in 2005 after Harris claimed two being an early investor in Death Row Records before being cheated out of her 50% portion of the company. Harris established that she was pushed out as vice president of the record label once the company began turning profits.

This follows a judgement this past Fall in which the $107 million judgement was voided with Ms. Harris claiming to have been manipulated by people who were previously close to her (see here).

In September 2019, Harris and Suge both asked that the judgment be voided, with NBC Los Angeles reporting that Harris claimed that she was used by her “former attorneys, Suge’s bankruptcy trustees, and others to use her to wrongfully obtain the judgment.” Harris’ former attorneys, who are set to obtain 40% of the judgment per their agreement, filed their own paperwork asking that the judgment should carry on as is, and a judge agreed with them.
