Atatiana Jefferson’s Mom Dies in Same House Daughter Was Murdered In By Fort Worth Police

In what can be described as sad news piled on top of sad news which was piled on top of more sad news, the mother of Atatiana Jefferson has passed away in the same home her daughter was killed in. You may recall Atatiana Jefferson is woman who was shot and killed while inside of her Fort Worth, Texas home by Fort Worth Police Department officer Aaron Dean on 10/12/2019. Her father, Marquis Jefferson, passed away from a heart attack the following month (11/9).

Now, Atatiana’s mother, Ms. Yolanda Carr, has also died although the official cause of death is still unknown. Ms. Carr was reportedly getting treatment for congestive heart failure which is the reason why Atatiana moved back into her parent’s home in the first place. Family lawyer Lee Merritt said the family has “been reeling from one tragedy to the next.”
