Idris Elba informed the public that he tested positive for COVID-19 aka coronavirus on Monday (3/16). The actor tweeted, “This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”
Idris provide a further update in a video where he states that he wasn’t showing any symptoms but he took the test following being exposed to someone else who tested positive. He urged the public to wash their hands and stay away from others. Watch the entire statement up top.
