Drake Declares War On Pusha-T, Diddy & Other In A Track Full Of Slick Disses

As we reported yesterday, Drake dropped a diss track as 2019 comes to an end titled ‘War.’ It appears Drizzy wants the last word as the year (and decade) comes to an end. This diss track will also set the tune for the Toronto rapper moving into 2020.

Typical of Drake, his disses usually come in subliminal format. From the onset, Drizzy touches on his affiliate Chubbs supposedly breaking the jaw of producer Detail before proceeding to take more lyrical shots,

“Used to look up to a man from certain ends with tune on repeat / Thought he was a bad boy, then ’til man got pinched, and man went PC / Man went PC just like Dell and Windows, some man been those / Before I was ever around Kendall’s, I was at ends though, dreamin’ up Enzo’s.”

The “bad boy” reference appears to be aimed at none other than Diddy while the reference to Kendall Jenner appears to throw more shade at Kanye West, Jenner’s brother-in-law. Recall in the past how Kanye has stated Drake’s lyrics about his family are off limits. The assumed diss of Diddy is toward Puff’s ‘bad boy’ moniker where Drizzy says he once looked up to Diddy before “Thought he was a bad boy, then ’til man got pinched, and man went PC.” The reference to ‘bad girl’ seems to allude to Rihanna, although not in a diss format.

It’s no mystery Drake and Pusha-T are still at odds since their 2018 battle which ended with Drizzy essentially submitting. It’s important to note that Push and Kanye West both represent the GOOD Music label. The label founded by Ye and Pusha-T is the label’s President. During a Breakfast Club interview Rap-A-Lot boss J. Prince stated that he encouraged Drake too no longer respond to Pusha’s disses event though Drizzy had a diss that would “end Pusha’s career,”

Now, as 2019 comes to a close, Drake offers more BARZ for King Push- the only person who these lyrics could make sense for in a track titled ‘War.’

“I don’t do well with people makin’ disses or makin’ threats / Woi-oi, man got flown like private jets, for way-way less/ I know you tryna get one down on us ever since then it’s been stressed / ‘Cause you know the reps dem owe you one and we always pay them debts.”. Key takeaway is where Drake raps “we always pay them debts.”

On a more positive note it seems like Drake and fellow Toronto artist The Weekend have squashed their differences,

“And the boy that sound like he sang on Thriller, you know that’s been my ni**a / Yeah, we just had to fix things, family, 6 tings, we can’t split up,”

2020 should be interesting. Rap battles always bring out the troops from all sides.
