Sadly, reports are indicating Jonathan Price was killed by a Wolfe City, Texas police officer while trying to break up a domestic dispute between a couple.
Wolfe City is situated approximately 70 miles northeast of Dallas. An argument which turned physical between a couple was happening in a convenience store when Price reportedly attempted break it up. The fight then escalated outside. When police arrived on the scene they ended up shooting Price. According to civil rights lawyer Lee Merritt, police arrived at the scene, and Price had his hands raised in an attempt to explain the incident. Police then proceeded to tase Price then shot at him after he was perceived to be a threat while his body was convulsing from the shock of the taser.
Unfortunately, this news comes months after Price made a Facebook post in June 2020 where he said he didn’t have negative incidents with law enforcement.
Texas rangers said that the shooting is currently being investigated, and that the police officer who shot Price is on administrative leave. We’ll have more on this matter when the details become available.
Statistically speaking 21 people will be shot to death by police this week and that’s not even their favorite way to kill people.
More people will be beat, tased or choked to death.
Even more will die behind bars for crimes they didn’t commit.
