For years, Hip-Hop Headz have been anticipating no other album more than Jay Electronica’s debut project (excluding the going on three-decade wait for Dr. Dre’s The Detox). Lo and behold, Jay Elec’s label, Tidal, has formally announced the New Orleans-bred emcee’s debut project, ‘A Written Testimony.’
Listening sessions will be held for the soon-to-be-released project in New Orleans, Los Angeles and New York City.
It’s time. We're giving @JayElectronica fans an exclusive first listen of his album 'A Written Testimony' with 3 intimate events in NY, LA, & New Orleans.

Lenny S took to The Gram on Tuesday posting a flick of Elect, Law Parker, Young Guru and JAY-Z in the lab, clearly cooking up some music.
Back in February of this year Jay Electronica took to social media to state his album was finished but, for obvious reasons, most people took his announcement with a grain of salt.

The following tweet from Jay Elec on 2/6 would indicate a 3/17 release date. Keep in mind this is no official date.
