As we noted back on 11/20, the government had OBH rapper Dark Lo (legal name: Charles Salley) arrested for allegedly intimidating the cooperating witness (aka snitch) in the Ar_Ab trial which recently concluded. Ab (legal name: Abdul Ibrahim West) is now facing up to life in prison and Dark Lo is facing up to 20 years in prison (read about that here).
Interestingly, US Attorney William M. McSwain deemed it necessary to address Dark Lo’s alleged witness intimidation publicly via social media with back-to-back tweets. First, McSwain thanked US Attorney Justin Ashenfelter and the FBI’s branch in Philadelphia, stating,
“Thank you to AUSA Justin Ashenfelter and @FBIPhiladelphia for your work on this case.”

McSwain also tweeted,
“Witness intimidation has no place in the criminal justice system and will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. This is not a game. If you attempt to intimidate a federal witness, you can stand by for the consequences.”
