Senior Campaign Advisor for President Trump’s reelection campaign Katrina Pierson took to social media in order to thank Ice Cube for “his willingness to step up and work with @realDonaldTrump Administration to help develop the #PlatinumPlan.” This comes after Ice Cube stating this past Sunday (10/11) that he met with both parties and was refusing to get caught up in anyone’s campaign rhetoric. Cube further revealed that he’s not siding with the Democrats after a host of other Black celebrities have publicly endorsed Democrat nominees Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Ice Cube also addressed the “$500 billion” on the table from the Republicans, which is part of Trump’s four-year “Platinum Plan.” A breakdown of the plan reveals that Trump intends to “Increase access to capital in Black communities by almost $500 billion” by several means with a goal of creating 3 million new jobs for the Black community and creating 500,000 new Black-owned businesses.
Ice Cube has not openly promoted Trump’s plan nor stated that he is responsible for helping to create the plan. However, while Trump was campaigning late last month he introduced the idea for the first time referring to his plan as “contract with Black-Americans.” Whereas, Ice Cube had previously presented a document titled ‘A Contract With Black-America.’ Find Trump’s speech from last month addressing the matter up top.
