Sheek Louch Explains How Suge Knight Called His Mom’s House To Sign The Lox

Recall when The Lox entered the Rap Game they signed with Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy Records label in 1995. According to Sheek Louch, Puff’s arch nemesis Suge Knight was also seeking to sign the Yonkers-bred rap trio.  In a recent interview, Sheek Louch recalled how several labels were seeking to sign The Lox including Death Row Records explaining that Suge Knight even called his mother’s house.

“Mary put Suge Knight on the phone—[he] called my mom house…That’s the time I’m like, Kiss go in the kitchen, use that phone. We like yo, what? You know the long cords and sh*t, come around looking at each other. Suge’s like, ‘I need y’all to come out here. Y’all sh*t is hot’ and yada yada. Before we signed with Puff. Crazy stuff.”

Do you think The Lox would’ve been a good fit with Tupac, Snoop Dogg, The Dogg Pound and others at Death Row? Find the video up top.
