Russ’s 2017 album There’s Really A Wolf made him the first rapper to go platinum without any producers or features. The 27-year-old rapper is also a big advocate of artists remaining independent.
Russ showcased how much money he’s made from his TuneCore account from two tracks captioning his post by stating,
“Inspirational purposes : This is a screenshot of 2 songs on my TuneCore (I have about 300) Been maintaining my independent catalogue since the get go in 2011. There’s a lot of money in music, you just have to own it. Keep goin and keep the faith 🙏🏼 tag an artist who needs to see this 👀”
