Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus and wants everyone to understand the urgent need for everyone to simply take necessary precautions.
In the video, Gobert gives an update on his health and states, “It’s all about protecting yourself and the people around you. I wish I would have took this thing more seriously, and I hope everyone else is gonna do so because we can do it together. Take care and stay safe.”
This follows news of the 7’1″ center’s teammate Donovan Mitchell also being infected with COVID-19, which many people presume is a result of Gobert. Watch above. In case you missed Gobert’s initial nonchalant response to Coronavirus find that video below where Gobert mockingly pats down the microphones notwithstanding concerns over the pandemic.
