An NYPD officer was shot in his police vehicle in the Bronx Saturday night (2/8) between E 163th Street and Barretto Avenue. The NYPD issued an advisory to stay clear of the area while it investigates. The officer who was was able to relay a description of the shooter who remains on the run.
The officer is expected to survive, authorities tell NBC News 4 New York.
