Minister Farrakhan Defends Snoop Dogg In Dispute w/ Gayle King

Minister Farakhan, certainly one who is known for not biting his tongue, came out publicly in support of Snoop Dogg in the veteran Long Beach rapper’s dispute with CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King. We’ll offer a brief background to the story. Gayle King interviewed WNBA legend, and close friend of the late Kobe Bryant, Lisa Leslie only days following the tragic helicopter crash which killed Bryant and the other 8 passengers on board. Specifically, King explains to Leslie during the interview that “his [Kobe’s] legacy is complicated because of sexual assault charges..” We also previously addressed how such statements made by King are bogus insofar as the 2003 charges brought against Kobe Bryant were dropped in a court of law. History bears witness that if the prosecution can convict a defendant then surely they will seek out a conviction. Only if the evidence available is not sufficient then would charges get dropped.

CBS eventually followed up with a statement also addressing the clip leaked to the public in order to promote the full interview between King and Leslie. The media behemoth stated,

“Gayle conducted a thoughtful, wide-ranging interview with Lisa Leslie about the legacy of Kobe Bryant. An excerpt was posted that did not reflect the nature and tone of the full interview. We are addressing the internal process that led to this and changes have already been made.”

Snoop Dogg publicly addressed the matter aiming his wrath at both Gayle King, and her mentor, Oprah Winfrey (see here and here).

Afterwards, former U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice threatened Snoop Dogg to “back the **** up. You come for Gayle King you come against an army. You will lose…” (see here). This led to Snoop Dogg publicly apologizing (see here).

Now, the Minister Farrakhan has publicly weighed in on the matter. Catch the clip below. Jump to the 4:50 mark to get straight to the point however the entire video addresses the matter.
