Man Arrested After Shooting 13 People At Chicago House Party

The Chicago Police Department have arrested 25-year-old Keilon Jones this past week (1/16) in connection with a December 2019 shooting spree of 13 people at a house party. Jones was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery. Police state the house party was a memorial party for someone else who had been killed in street violence and that Jones shot up the house party in retaliation for that killing.

After making his way to the home Jones began to shoot people inside the house before targeting partygoers fleeing the home also. Police note that none of the shooting victims suffered fatal wounds and the victims ages ranged between 16-48.

Chicago continues to plagued heavily gun violence. In December, we reported about two men who were sentenced to a combined 155 years in prison for shooting a 9-year-old boy in a separate retaliation killing.
