Louisiana Rapper Hurricane Chris Indicted On Murder Charges

Hurricane Chris has been indicted in connection with a fatal shooting outside a Shreveport gas station in June 2020, according to local Shreveport media outlets. KTAL NBC 6 reports that the Louisiana rapper, legal name: Christopher Jerron Dooley, 31, was indicted by a Caddo Parish grand jury on a second-degree murder charge in connection with the slaying of 32-year-old Danzeria Ferris Jr. Ferris was reportedly shot in the whee hours of the morning on Friday  June 19.  Hurricane Chris was arrested later that day on one count each of second-degree murder and illegal possession of stolen property.

Police reported Hurricane Chris first claimed he shot a man he thought was attempting to steal his vehicle but authorities say surveillance footage proved otherwise.

Hurricane Chris’ hit single ‘A Bay Bay,’ from his 2007 album ’51/50 Ratchet’ has more than 30 million views on YouTube. Danzeria Ferris Jr. was 32-years-old.
