Kingpin-Turned-Snitch Alpo Calls In Podcast To Defend His Reputation

http://

Alpo Martinez (legal name: Alberto Martinez) has faced plenty of criticism over the years. ‘Po, as many refer to him in his hometown of NYC, is most commonly remembered for killing his partner, fellow Harlem-bred Rich Porter, in the drug game on 1/3/1990 in the Bronx. Alpo was accompanied by his accomplice Big Head Gary. On 11/7/1991, Alpo was arrested in Washington D.C. for drug distribution. He was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, various drug charges, and 14 counts of murder, including the murder of D.C drug dealer ‘Fray’ aka Michael Anthony Salters and Brooklyn drug dealer Demencio ‘Montana’ Benson. Upon being arrested & charged, Alpo faced the possibility of either the death penalty or life imprisonment without the possibility of parole and hence he opted to become an informant and testified against members of his organization. For his testimony against Wayne Perry (who was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole), Martinez was sentenced to 35 years in prison. As Don Diva Magazine accurately exposed, the kingpin-turned-snitch was released free in 2015.

Don Diva Magazine is operated by CEO Kevin Chiles who also is a former NYC kingpin. The difference being Chiles did his time without ever becoming a government informant. Don Diva Magazine reported the following in its September 2015 issue,

“Alpo Martinez reached out to Don Diva’s CEO, Kevin Chiles through a mutual female friend.  Alpo told the female friend, “Me and Kev were cool. Kev believes I told on him, and I just want to talk to him to set the record straight with him. Can you give him the message and get back to me.”

“We were all friends [Chiles, Porter, and Martinez]. Preceding him killing Rich we were all cool on the street.  We hung out. We got money. The fact that he told on anyone is not okay for me, and there is nothing to discuss, but even if he didn’t tell, we still wouldn’t be good because he killed Rich. I’m not cool with how that went. –Kevin Chiles, CEO – Don Diva Magazine”

Anyone interested in purchasing the autobiography of Kevin Chiles, which offers a comprehensive history from the viewpoint of Harlem kingpin,  can do so here.

Since coming home, Alpo basically asserted that he shot Rich Porter in the head in order to finish him off (read more about that here). In the end, Alpo killed his right-hand man (Rich Porter) and turned informant on his enforcer (Wayne Perry). If it wasn’t for Wayne Perry there’s a good chance Alpo would have been killed years prior. That, or the Harlem-bred drug kingpin wouldn’t have been able to establish his drug empire in the Washington D.C. region. Perry made things easy for Alpo and was loyal to a flaw in doing so (including allegedly shooting and killing the man who slapped Alpo’s wife).

During a recent Queenzflip podcast episode which interviewed Ex-FBI Agent Dan Reilly, Alpo’s name was brought up. The kingpin-turned-snitch then called Queenzflip in order to defend his reputation. It appears Alpo is positioning himself to tell his story in a Netflix-like setting. Find the brief clip up top. Find below the audio recordings released in July 2019 by J.Prince of a recorded conversation between Larry Hoover and Wayne Perry.  Since being imprisoned Perry has changed his after converting to Islam to Nkosi Shaka Zulu-El.

J. Prince captioned his post by stating,

“This conversation comes from a brother doing a life sentence by the name of @wayne_silk_perry whom I’ve never met. But I respect the words of truth that he’s speaking. –

Some of the most brilliant minds in the world are locked in cages for life. It’s going to take individuals, community members, crime survivors, elected officials, and law enforcement to make a change. –

I had the honor of attending a #cut50criminal justice reform meeting this week and I was impressed with the movement and love they have for freeing our loved ones out of the cages of hell. –

@VanJones68 @jessymichele22 and @heinspires4real are the people who spoke on the @cut50 panel and I encourage you all to follow their works because it’s real. This is what Growth and Development is all about. Uniting with a movement such as #Cut50 now let’s ride.
To be continued…”
