At the beginning of 2020 Jim Jones engaged in a conversation with American military veteran who served in the Iraq War after the Harlem-bred rapper made the claim that “being a rapper was more dangerous than being a soldier.” Needless to say, both Jones and the military vet made some good points (anyone who wants to revisit that debate can do so here).
Jones is back to asking the same question after multiple shootings this past week of rappers in the State of Texas.
“So y’all still don’t agree with wht I said Being a rapper is 1 of thee most dangerous jobs in th world Get well soon bro stay safe stay dangerous”
In the above-referenced debate Jones had with the military vet, the Harlem-bred rapper also notes, “here are the facts every ni**a I grew up wit is either dead or in jail so you wanna compare death tolls it won’t add….”
Do you agree with Jim Jones? Is “being a rapper was more dangerous than being a soldier” ?
