JAY-Z’s One-Time Friend DeHaven Felt Abandoned By Jay During FED CASE

It’s no mystery that JAY-Z and his one-time street associate DeHaven are no longer on good terms. Jay addressed DeHaven on the American Gangster soundtrack song ‘No Hook,’ rappin,

“So f*ck DeHaven for caving, that’s why we don’t speak / Made men ain’t supposed to make statements / End of the story, I followed the code, cracked the safe / Other n*ggas ain’t in the game so they practice hate,”

DeHaven, who’s shared the story in the past, explained to VladTV that JAY-Z sent word to DeHaven that he’d help him with his legal team, but didn’t. DeHaven goes on to explain how he ended up using a court appointed lawyer and how this may have ended up saving him in the end.

“They didn’t come to check on me, they didn’t follow up with my family…”
