A rapper who goes by the stage name Montana22 (legal name: Emanuel Solomon) was killed earlier this week while seeking to protect his girlfriend’s son, 11-year-old Dominic Sumicek. Montana 22 was reportedly shot and killed in West Houston on 10/27. The 11-year-old boy was shot the same day but succumbed to his wounds three days later on 10/30. Montana22’s ex-girlfriend told ABC13 Houston that the rapper lived in the apartment complex with the 11-year-old boy’s mother where he and the boy were shot.
Police are still reportedly looking for the suspects while reviewing home surveillance video footage that may help them in their investigation. The 41-year-old Solomon leaves behind three children.
