Government Requests Lighter Sentence for 6ix9ine for His Cooperation

6ix9ine (legal name: Daniel Hernandez), as expected, will face little to no time in prison if the government gets their way following Tekashi’s unprecedented public display of snitching. Prosecutors put in a formal request to make sure the Internet gangster-turned-cooperating witness receives a lenient sentence. TMZ reports that court documents reveal the prosecution claims 6ix9ine’s testimony was “incredibly significant and extremely useful” in convicting his co-defendants.

The federal prosecutors also highlighted the safety risks 6ix9ine and his family face moving forward. “There’s no question that the defendant’s life will never be the same because of his cooperation in this case.” Adding that Tekashi and his family will require “extra safety precautions” to prevent a revenge attack.

Tekashi will be sentenced on 12/18 at 10:00 A.M. EST.
