George Zimmerman Suing Elizabeth Warren, Peter Buttigieg for $265 MILLION Over Trayvon Martin Support Tweets

Turns out George Zimmerman, represented by his legal team (see here), is suing senior U.S. Senator (Massachusetts) Elizabeth Warren and Peter Buttigieg for $265 million following the above two tweets which payed homage to Trayvon Martin. Both Warren and Buttigieg are seeking to represent the Democratic Party in a run for President.

Neither tweet mentions Zimmerman by name. Buttigieg’s post does state “#BlackLivesMatter.” and called out “white supremacy.” The Black Lives Matter hashtag become popular after numerous unarmed Black men were being killed by police in various U.S. cities. “Trayvon Martin would have been 25 today. How many 25th birthdays have been stolen from us by white supremacy, gun violence, prejudice, and fear? #BlackLivesMatter”

Warren’s tweet reads, “My heart goes out to [Martin’s mother] @SybrinaFulton and Trayvon’s family and friends. He should still be with us today. We need to end gun violence and racism. And we need to build a world where all of our children-especially young Black boys-can grow up safe and free.”

Zimmerman is claiming both Warren and Buttigieg defamed him.

At the time Martin was killed back in 2012 Zimmerman was 28-years-old while Trayvon was only 17. We’ll have more details on this matter as they become available.
