CBS This Morning host Gayle King has accepted Snoop Dogg’s apology. This comes after Snoop had harsh public words for the journalist over questions Gayle King asked WNBA star Lisa Leslie during an interview about Kobe Bryant during a recent TV interview following Bryan’t sudden death. During the interview, King tells Leslie, “[Kobe Bryant’s] legacy is complicated because of sexual assault charges..” to which Snoop, who not only is a Southern California native but was personally close with Bryant, responded in aggressive language aimed at King only to later apologize.
Gayle King told the Associated Press,
“I accept the apology and understand the raw emotions caused by this tragic loss. As a journalist, it is sometimes challenging to balance doing my job with the emotions and feelings during difficult times. I don’t always get it perfect but I’m constantly striving to do it with compassion and integrity.”
