Dame Dash has filed a lawsuit against We TV for allegedly reneging on their agreement to not allow his son, Boogie Dash, to consume alcohol on the set of “Growing Up Hip-Hop” in any capacity. Dame says the network requires alcohol consumption to boost ratings but claims he obtained a verbal agreement that his son would not drinking any alcohol during the filming for the show.
The lawsuit alleges the family “suffered emotional distress as a result of We TV’s insistence that Boogie imbibes on the show.” Besides suing over his son’s alleged alcohol consumption also included in the lawsuit is money allegedly owed to Dame Dash which the former Def Jam executive claims is owed to him for his work on the show.
