DaBaby Alleged Slap Victim Thinks Rapper Is Insincere: I Was Embarrassed

Many people were shocked upon seeing DaBaby slap a female recently during one of his concerts. The rapper was observed walking through the venue before an attendee noticeably placed their cell phone in very close proximity to his face to which DaBaby responded to by overhand slapping a woman. There’s no question rappers feel immense pressure having to entertain emotional crowds while touring and the possibility of some sort of drama breaking out is always high. The groupie-nature of many fans cannot be discounted and the person in question here should have refrained from placing their phone so close to the face of DaBaby (just as anyone else would expect not to have a cell phone with the light on placed directly in front of their face).

Nevertheless, any person in a position of authority must be expected to assume a higher degree of responsibility and restraint, even when confronted with such groupie behavior. The woman who DaBaby allegedly smacked, Ms. Tyronesha Laws, suggests DaBaby’s apology was insincere, stating,

“We went upstairs on the stairway to take a picture at the picture booth by the stage…I see security saying move, move, move everyone move out the way. I was standing next to a young lady and all of a sudden I turned around and I said to my boyfriend, ‘There go DaBaby, he’s coming through.'” Laws then suggests DaBaby smacked her for no reason.

“I woke up, my head was hurting really, really bad,….The top of my right cheekbone, it was hurting like it was tender. So, I did go to the hospital and I was diagnosed with a contusion to my cheekbone.

Regarding the rapper’s apology, Laws states,

“I don’t feel like he was sincere with the apology,…I was embarrassed. I had people calling me, writing me on Instagram through fake pages, people seeing me at my job like, ‘You’re the girl that got slapped.’ It’s embarrassing. My daughter wakes up in the middle of the night crying over hearing me on the phone with my lawyer talking about the situation.”

In case you missed the apology DaBaby made to the woman, and the actual smack itself, you can find all of that here.
