COMPLETE UPDATE ON NICK CANNON/ EMINEM BEEF

Here, we will direct the audience towards a complete update on the ongoing saga taking place between Nick Cannon and Eminem. First of all, it’s important to remind the reader that all of the beef (both direct and passive aggressive) started over a woman–Mariah Carey. The beef goes back to when Nick was married to Mariah whereas she previously dated Em. Long story short both men had strong feelings for her and elements of natural male jealousy (somewhat unconfined) as played out over the years.

Fast forward to the past few months (although there are many instances of passive aggressive statements made by both parties over the years) Nick Cannon was being interviewed on T.I.’s ExpedITiously Podcast where Nick said Em was good with the barz but not with the hand-game.

Eminem would then respond with an incredibly disrespectful diss after being featured alongside the legendary Ms. Mary J Blige on Fat Joe’s recently released track ‘Lord Above.’ Check out the meme put together below by My Religion Is Rap highlighting Em’s wordplay aimed at NC (Salute Mark R on the assist). You can listen to the entire ‘Lord Above’ track from Fat Joe’s Family Ties album here.

Nick Cannon would then respond with a diss of his own. Although the barz were not on par with those dropped by Eminem they remain very disrespectful. What stands out the most is the Suge Knight feature with Big Suge personally calling out Eminem over a phone call from jail. We’ll limit the scope of the background of Suge Knight/ Eminem here but we will highlight how Eminem was instrumental in helping Dr. Dre rebuild his career after leaving Death Row Records (and vice-versa). Catch that diss track below which also features Hitman Holla, Charlie Clips and Prince Eazy. Suge Knight put in plain terms the way he sees things for Eminem, “This is your invitation.”

Nick Cannon even promoted the post on his social media handles by tagging Em himself.

Cannon continued to seem determined to aggravate Em. Keep in mind that these two guys have a beef rooted in a woman. The disdain they have for one another may be disguised in various outfits but it all comes back to Mariah Carey’s dominating personality over both of them and hence their rage being directed towards each other.

NC would then go on to claim that Em’s legal team contacted him over some of his barz which allege Marshall Mathers to have been involved in a gay relationship.

Eminem then responded via social media to Nick Cannon. Keep in mind that Em rarely ever takes to social media to promote anything except his business endeavors and those communications are only every so often. In this case, the veteran Detroit emcee was addressing Nick Cannon.

A few moments after putting out that tweet, Nick Cannon would respond by continuing to attempt to aggravate Eminem. NC would even directly respond to Em on Twitter before Eminem would put out a separate tweet demanding an apology. Catch all of that below.

Undeterred, a late into the night on 12/9, Nick Cannon continued his social media posts directly communicating with Eminem’s handles. Catch the post below.

This is where things left off. By this time it was late into the night hours in Detroit and fairly late into the evening on the West Coast where Cannon resides. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on how things transpire from here.

UPDATE: During the wee hours on 12/10 50 Cent interjects himself into the BEEF between Cannon & Em. Notice 50’s post below.

Only for Nick Cannon to wake up shortly thereafter and directly respond to 50 Cent.
