California Governor Newsom Deploys National Guard

We previously reported that California Governor Newsom ordered a home clampdown of the state’s residents (with exceptions allowed for essential outdoor visits including gas stations, pharmacies, grocery stores, farmers markets, food banks, convenience stores, takeout and delivery restaurants, banks and laundromats).

The Governor of the Union’s largest state in terms of population (approximately 40 million) has now activated the National Guard under the pretext of humanitarian bases to “Help Distribute Food at Food Banks & Protect California’s Most Vulnerable..”

The statement from the Governor’s Office reads,

” California Governor Gavin Newsom today announced the deployment of California National Guard members to provide short-term food security to isolated and vulnerable Californians. Building on Governor Newsom’s prioritization of protecting the most vulnerable from the COVID-19 pandemic, the short deployment will help to stabilize the immediate need of food banks.”

New York state Governor Andrew Cuomo earlier today (3/20) also announced a 24-hour lockdown for residents of his state effective Sunday (3/22). With both the states of New York and California soon to be under 24-hour lockdown this amounts to 18% of the population under legal order to be indoors except for the case of essential outdoor trips.

The reality is that other states, especially coastal states and/or regions with high-volume ports (such as New York City/ Northern New Jersey, Baltimore, Seattle and New Orleans) to activate the National Guard in each of those states, respectively. Also, once the National Guard is deployed then their duty can be expanded beyond simply helping distribute food and protecting the most “vulnerable” residents. We’ll expand on this in a later article. Stay tuned too MyReligionIsRap.com for the latest updates.
