Blueface Addresses Insensitive Comments Following Pop Smoke’s Murder: Ni**s Die Here Every Single Day

Blueface recently was interviewed by Bootleg Kev on Real 92.3 and was questioned about his comments regarding “any artist” who happens to visit Los Angeles. The timing of post was insensitive considering Pop Smoke had been just tragically murdered the day prior in Hollywood Hills (which is a part of LA County).

“People think Cali/LA is beautiful sunny palm trees, ni**as die here every single day,”…”I recommend any artist coming this way to get in touch wit the right natives just to keep you up to speed. Soon as you relax an think it’s cool this way that’s when they strike.”

Some took offense to Blueface’s comments, namely a bonafide Blood from Brooklyn named Corey King who’s well respected in NY state prisons. The reality is Pop Smoke was loved in Brooklyn which may explain Corey King’s response where he essentially put Cash Money artists on a NYC-No-Fly-Zone-like alert.

During the interview with Bootleg Kev, Blueface states,

“People think Cali/LA is beautiful sunny palm trees, n*ggas die here every single day,” wrote Blueface on Instagram after Pop Smoke was killed. “I recommend any artist coming this way to get in touch wit the right natives just to keep you up to speed. Soon as you relax an think it’s cool this way that’s when they strike.”

Sadly, the brother of Houston rapper Maxo Kream was killed this past week in Los Angeles (see here).

“The way they took what I was saying, like, go find your local hood that’s affiliated. Honestly, that’s the last thing I’m promoting,…If anything, go find you a regular square that’s got maybe a gun license or permit or even a security guard or even a friend of a friend that can pull up and provide you with the utensils that you need to defend yourself.”
