The last album dropped by Cypress Hill was back in 2010. Rise Up turned out to be a transitional phase for the legendary rap group from the City of Angels. Traditionally DJ Muggs got busy on the beats for Cypress Hill however on the Rise Up album the group brought in outside beat makers including iconic East Coast producer Pete Rock. B-Real even helped in creating some of the sounds for that album.
Last year, Cypress Hill released a video single titled "Reefer Man" for DJ Pooh's Grow House soundtrack. However, now Hip Hop Heads get a first look and listen from Elephants On Acid, which will be the band’s ninth studio production and will be available for public consumption on September 28 of this year. “Band Of Gypsies,” which is also the name of a renowned 1970 Jimi Hendrix live album, is the first video release from Cypres Hill's new album and gives us an idea of what direction the West Coast legends are gravitating towards.
Nice to see legends from all coasts East, West, North and South putting studio time in. The Culture is in need of this.
