It's Official: Lamar Odom Accepts Deal To Play In China

As we wrote recently the Chinese are coming after Dwayne Wade was offered a record deal (by professional Chinese basketball standards).  Now, Lamar Odom has made the "good news" official on his Instagram account that he will be playing professional ball in the Mainland.  

 

I have some good news to share with you on this beautiful day from The Netherlands. My heart literally warms up now I can finally share with you all that I'm returning to play Basketball. I will be playing in China ! God is good ! Thanks lord for giving me another chance in life and thank you fans for your the love and support during all those hard years. Never give up on yourself and keep believing that only god can create the miracles you're hoping for. Basketball and my children have always been the light in my life and this is where my focus is right now. Happy & Proud to announce that I have signed a global management contract with my new @ninetyplusofficial family and decided to move to Shenzhen, China. This month, I have spend a few weeks in Shenzhen ( China) signing new deals and I feel so overwhelmed and blessed with my new Chinese business partners and management @mr2rchiang @iamzoul It's a huge step for me and I feel so happy to be writing new episodes of my life in another country that's so HUGE in basketball. Congratulations are certainly in order, and China is a beautiful place indeed for anyone to live and work in, however one has to wonder:  Is Lamar Odom escaping from New York because of recent street beef he encountered while at a Hooters restaurant in his hometown New York City?
