EA SPORTS APOLOGIZES; KAEPERNICK'S NAME RE-ADDED TO MADDEN NFL '19

TMZ is reporting that Colin Kaepernick's name will be re-added into Madden NFL '19 after video from fans with early release copies revealed that Kaepernick's name was deleted from Big Sean's verse on YG's "Big Bank" on the game.

Both YG and Big Sean took to the offensive against EA Sports' decision to delete Kaepernick's name from the song, and YG demanded an apology, with the entertainment powerhouse acquiescing. EA Sports issued a statement, which read, "We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack. Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks."

EA Sports further notes that Kaepernick's name will be in the August 6 release of the video game.
