DRAKE MAKES HISTORY PASSES JAY-Z ON THE BILLBOARD 200 ALBUM LIST

As the saying goes records are meant to be broken.  While it's true that Hip Hop Headz could care less about the Billboard 200 it doesn't take away from the fact that  Drake is now only second to Eminem on the list of most total weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 for a Hip Hop act.

According to Billboard, the Canadian rapper's Scorpion spends its fifth week in first place on the chart, giving Drake his 26th week in the top spot.

This places him past Jay-Z for second place on the all-time rap tally. The Brooklyn mogul now sits in third place with 25 weeks at number one. Eminem still holds the top spot with 32 overall weeks at #1.

We may add that Jay-Z and then Eminem helped pave the way for modern rappers.  In their eras respectively rappers were still receiving a lot of heat for "moving the crowd" so to speak.
