Conor McGregor has avoided a potential career knockout blow after reaching a plea deal that will allow him to avoid jail time and deportation for his enraged UFC bus attack back in April of this year. UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov was the intended target of McGregor's antics but instead ended up injuring three other fighters instead of Nurmagomedov.
McGregor was charged with felony criminal mischief and three counts of misdemeanor assault. The charges carried a potential 7-year jail sentence. With the plea deal, Conor will most likely see probation. According to TMZ, the deal hasn't yet been finalized but that the two sides are down to the "final points" of negotiations. McGregor is due back in court on Thursday.
