A Las Vegas-based father was arrested after his 1-year-old daughter died in his own car. The baby girl, Sayah Deal, remained in the hot car for an extended period because the father, Sidney Deal, 27, refused to allow police to break the car window in order to save the girl. The father’s refusal was based on the fact the car was new. Deal sought flagged down the cops seeking their help in the matter.
The Las Vegan Sun reports that the responding officers offered to break the window, call a tow truck or get a locksmith, but Deal declined and asked to call his brother. The police eventually smashed the window after Sayah had been trapped in the car for over an hour only to find the baby girl already deceased. The technical cause of death is pending.
