Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to social media and bluntly stated that COVID-19 (i.e., Coronavirus) is impacting American-Black/Latino greater than their fellow Americans, tweeting, “COVID deaths are disproportionately spiking in Black + Brown communities. Why? Because the chronic toll of redlining, environmental racism, wealth gap, etc. ARE underlying health conditions.”
