50 Cent says he instructed Eminem to not even respond to Nick Cannon’s three disses. 50 told reporters on Wednesday at ABC’s Television Critics Association press tour,
“I told him don’t even say nothing to him…The record is terrible.” Fifty further added,
“You can’t argue with a fool, […] When you understand that a person is not registering even when they’re losing, then the argument goes forever. So you should just stop.”
In reality, although much hype was centered around the one-sided battle, Nick Cannon didn’t put together a diss track that was able to stand out in terms of BARZ. This limited any pressure on a respected lyricist like Eminem to respond. Also, even though Cannon tried race-baiting Em, this fell apart once the story broke of an Andre3000 interview where 3 Stacks basically explained how he and Eminem would study the barz of West Coast Hip-Hop group Hieroglyphics. Can’t forget, however, Eminem dissed Nick Cannon on Fat Joe’s Family Ties album so it’s only right Cannon responded. The fact that NC responded with three diss tracks makes it more respectable.
