Colin Kaepernick Will Host Workout For NFL Teams This Saturday

One has to assume that the NFL wants to put the “Colin Kaepernick” inspired-era behind it. Let’s be honest, stadiums are built with taxpayer dollars. You can’t legally tell someone not to protest in these environments before or after the game. The need to protest police brutality is of ongoing significance. One must only recall the case of Atatiana Jefferson who was killed in her own home by a Fort Worth Police Officer just last month. Unfortunately, in a country filled with political hypocrites, the Bill of Rights is hardly a matter of public discourse. The first amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right of all Americans the right to protest. Keep in mind, the overwhelming majority of stadiums are public property owned by the cities that host them and funded by taxpayers. Hence, whether or not a person agrees with Kaepernick’s cause, to deny his right to protest before an NFL game starts would mean to deny his constitutional right to protest.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kaepernick will be holding his own private workout and every NFL team is invited. Check out Schefter’s tweets below.

Noteworthy, and presumably for some of the reasons mentioned above, the NFL has set-up this workout for Kaepernick. The NFL stated via a report that “Kaepernick’s workout will include on-field work and an interview. Video of the workout and interview will be made available to all 32 teams, as well.”

Americans, all Americans, need to learn come to terms with the fact that hypocrisy comes full circle and exposes itself. We’re the victims of our self-exposing hypocrisy. At the end of the day, Kaepernick is more qualified to play in the NFL than several starting QBs, let alone many backups. It’s obvious he’s been ostracized for his political beliefs and this is something no Bill Of Rights-loving American should accept.

We’ll have more on this matter as the details become available. Kap’s workout will take place this Saturday (11/16).

UPDATE: Colin Kaepernick has since commented with the following tweet.
